Full body de-matting
This fee is applied in addition to a full groom if we are unable to save your dog’s coat. It reflects the extra time, care, and skill required to safely shave your dog while ensuring their comfort and welfare.

General Targeted de-matting
Applied to matting that can be brushed or thinned out over the whole body. This must be completed in under 15 minutes to ensure your dog’s comfort and welfare.

If matting cannot be safely removed without causing discomfort, we may shave affected areas while attempting to blend the remaining coat. In cases where the coat cannot be saved, a full shave may be necessary, and our £20 shave/clipping fee will be added on top of the general de-matting charge and groom.

Targeted Matting
Matting in sensitive areas such as under the legs and behind the ears requires extra care. Where possible, we will carefully thin or loosen light matting. However, if the matting is tight or close to the skin, these areas may need to be shaved to ensure your dog’s comfort, safety, and welfare.

Full body Targeted de-matting
This fee applies when matting needs to be addressed in areas beyond under the legs and behind the ears. We will first attempt to brush or thin out these mats, which must be completed in under 15 minutes to protect your dog’s comfort and welfare. If matting cannot be safely removed, affected areas may be shaved and blended into the surrounding coat to ensure your dog’s safety and well-being with additional fees may apply.
