Non-Refundable Deposit

A £20 deposit is required to secure your pet’s grooming appointment. This deposit will be deducted from the total cost of the groom at the end of the session.

No-Shows / Cancellations:

  • If an appointment is missed without prior notice, the deposit will be retained.

  • Additionally, the full grooming price will be charged to cover the lost appointment slot.

We recommend giving at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, to avoid these charges.

Late Collection Fee

This fee applies when a pet is collected after their scheduled appointment time. We understand that life happens and emergencies arise; however, if we are not informed in advance that you will be late, this fee will be added to your bill.

Please note: Celestial Cuts is not a doggy daycare, and we do not have the space to keep pets outside of their appointment. The late collection fee ensures we can continue to provide a safe and stress-free environment for all pets in the salon.

Removal Fee

for Each Tick

Ticks are active year-round and can transmit serious diseases such as borreliosis, babesiosis, ehrlichiosis, and TBE. Early and careful removal is important to reduce the risk to your pet.

This fee covers:

  • Safe removal of each tick

  • Use of disposable gloves and protective measures to prevent disease transmission

Important: In some cases, the tick’s mouthparts may remain embedded in the skin. If this happens, your pet must be taken to a veterinarian for proper treatment. Celestial Cuts cannot be held responsible for veterinary costs.

Prevention is always better than cure. We recommend keeping up to date with flea and worming treatments through your veterinarian. Please note that ticks do not jump; your pets can pick them up by walking through long grass, meadows, fields, and similar areas.

£3

Flea Charge

This fee is applied when three or more live fleas are found on your dog. It covers:

  • Treatment of your dog with flea shampoo

  • The cost of disinfecting the salon to prevent fleas spreading

  • Additional precautions for any dogs groomed afterward

This ensures the health and safety of all pets in the salon.

Supportive Care Grooming

Supportive Grooming

For dogs who need a slower, calmer grooming experience due to anxiety, age, or sensitivity. This fee is applied in 30-minute increments when a dog requires extra grooming attention. This allows extra time for breaks, reassurance, and gentle handling to keep grooming a positive experience.

Examples:

  • frequent breaks

  • slow introductions to tools

  • reassurance, decompression time

  • stopping and restarting at the dog’s pace

Prices from £15 per 30 minutes.

Handling Fee

What it is Handling Fee
This fee applies when a dog requires additional handling support during their groom due to physical resistance or safety concerns.

This may include, but is not limited to, dogs who:

  • physically resist grooming (pulling away, thrashing, refusing to stand)

  • attempt to nip or snap

  • require a muzzle for safety: A muzzling fee would be added as well as the handling fee on top of the standard groom.

  • need firmer, controlled handling to safely complete the groom

  • significantly slow the groom due to resistance or lack of cooperation

  •

The handling fee reflects the extra skill, physical effort, and time required to groom safely while prioritising the wellbeing of both your dog and the groomer.

Please note:
The handling fee is not charged for dogs who are simply nervous or need a slower, gentler approach.
Supportive Grooming Time is used for anxious or sensitive dogs who benefit from extra reassurance, breaks, and a calm pace. Additional charges, such as muzzling or Supportive Grooming Time, may apply separately if required for safety or extended grooming sessions.

Muzzling Fee

A muzzling fee is applied when a muzzle is required to ensure safety. This may be planned in advance or used unexpectedly if a dog shows signs of stress or bite risk during the groom.

At Celestial Cuts, the safety of both dogs and groomers is taken seriously. Using a muzzle allows grooming to continue as safely and calmly as possible while reducing the risk of injury. This fee reflects the increased handling risk and additional care required when working with a muzzled dog.

Dogs requiring a muzzle may need additional grooming time. Any extended appointment time will be reflected in the final price.
